This week was focused on the original project, with much reading being put into understanding the Tort reform bill and the history behind tort reform itself. Before deciding to read for the bill background, I had read an article detailing the thought process and what foundation you need in order to write a bill, and one idea that had stuck out was the idea that one must border being a professional when making a bill and having a clear and concise effect that they want to encourage or curb. With the in mind, I had decided to ask myself the questions on how I wanted to structure the bill, but I wasn't as knowledgeable on the topic and wasn't able to give myself a deeper understanding of what I was trying to do. After that line of questioning, I had decided to spend the rest of the days reading up on these topics, and also trying to contact professionals to speak to as I wanted further reading. While I haven't been as successful as I'd like with speaking to professionals so far, I do have a few more contacts to call and I am far from a dead end in my further research, but I do worry about time, because I want to finish with the research phase at the beginning of February, but the furthest I feel I could push it would be the end of February.
