I had finished my Original Work this week. This week was not about learning, more about finishing the accumulation of my learning and concluding my Original Work. There was no more research to be done, therefore making it so that all I had to worry was the graphic design of the pamphlet, ensuring it's professionalism. The most important lesson that I gained from this experience was the benefit of planning. The implementation of the information was difficult, as the assortment and flow of information was paramount to the success of the pamphlet. I hadn't planned out what colors I was going to use, rather I was just throwing colors at the wall, hoping that one would stick and make the aesthetic more pleasing. Ultimately, this proved frustrating, so I took a break, sitting down and looking at other pamphlets. Therein lies my second lesson. Analyzing other pieces of work that are similar and adapting it's successes into my own. If I hadn't seen professional law pamphlets, I would've ended up with a more unrefined product. After looking at other brochures, I had finally gotten an idea on how I wanted to finish the product off, and I had decided to use a simpler color pallet. Overall, I am pleased with my work, and I am glad that I am done.
